The Regional Stormwater Protection Team revealed their new PSA called the "No Poop Fairy".

Its goal is to get Twin Ports pet owners to make sure they pick up their pets' waste, so that it won't affect the communities storm water, and in turn Lake Superior.

"Pet waste is really nutrient heavy and it also carries disease causing organisms and pathogens that when it washes into our rivers and lakes, it can make it unswimmable, undrinkable," says Andrea Crouse, co-chair of the Regional Stormwater Protection Team.

The "No Poop Fairy" wants Twin Ports residents to help keep their water clean by having pet owners pick up their pets' waste.

The goal of the video is to reenforce that there is "No Poop Fairy" and that it is up to the pet owners to pick up after their furry friends.

It is important for the Twin Ports because of the large number of pet owners and because the pet waste directly affects the Twin Ports source of drinking water via Lake Superior.
