Silver Bay residents are busy preparing for the annual Bay Days festival July 12-14.

Vendors and information booths will open up at noon Friday, July 12, at the Silver Bay City Hall. However, festivities really kick-off at 6 p.m. with the Bay Days parade, beginning at the Intersection of Edison and Horn boulevards.

Following the parade, there will be family games, face painting, balloon animals and music provided by Houley and Mo DJ at City Hall. The day will wrap-up with a fireworks display from the Silver Bay Fire Department at dusk.

The next day’s events start with a pancake breakfast 7-10 a.m. at Silver Bay Fire Hall, and also include the Bay to Bay Run & Walk, golf scramble and bean bag tournament.

For the kids, there will be inflatable games and activities, with wristbands available for $15. Free live music performances will continue all afternoon with acts such as Gavin LeBlanc and Friends, Cheap Trix and Sofa King.

Sunday will start with more pancakes at the fire hall as well as a classic car and motorcycle show in the Zup’s Shopping Center parking lot and a church service at 11 a.m. near the Lake Bank.

Sunday afternoon will feature a free family polka party and a logging expo where folks can check out logging equipment.
