By playing in or sponsoring the Chip in For Youth Celebrity Charity Golf Scramble, you are directly improving the lives of children in our community. Our fundraising goal for this event is $20,000, which will support the Cook County Child Care Center, Summer Kids Camp scholarships, After- School All-Stars scholarships, and Youth in Government.
The event will be held on Sunday, July 28 at Gunflint Hills Golf Course in Grand Marais. The shotgun start will take place at 1 p.m. Golfers will experience a course full of fun contests and games such as a $1,000,000 shoot-out, $10,000 hole-inone prize, $5,000 putting contest, hole of fortune, buy a pro shot, marshmallow shot, lemonade stand and s’mores station hosted by summer kids camp and childcare youth.
Olympic gold medalist John Shuster will be auctioned off at the start of the tournament with a few other local celebrities to join a team. Players and sponsors can get their photo with a three-time Olympian and wear a gold medal!
Free childcare is available during the event at the YMCA and a catered dinner, live music on the patio, raffle, auction and awards ceremony will follow.
