If you’re noticing a hazy tint to the sky, you’re not alone.
A breeze out of the west and northwest has brought in some smoke and haze from a wildfire burning up in Alberta, Canada.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) website says the wildfire is causing hazy skies across the northern half of the state and as of late Thursday morning, air quality levels are in the good to moderate range across the Northland.
The good news is that the air quality levels are not supposed to reach the unhealthy level, which would be a 101 or higher on the Air Quality Index.
The haze will stick around as the winds remain out of the west and northwest. A cold front and higher pressure settling in Saturday should allow some cleaner air to filter in.
Until conditions improve, just monitor the air quality levels, especially those who suffer from health issues, such as asthma.
