ARROWHEAD REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION COORDINATION COUNCIL PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

The Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) and the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC) have worked together over the last year to plan and develop a Regional Transportation Coordinating Council (RTCC) in northeastern Minnesota.  RTCCs are intended to implement and/or oversee provisions for coordinated transportation in each designated region.  Community stakeholders have gathered over the last nine months around issues regarding the RTCC service area and membership, goals and objectives, and developing workplan priorities.  The proposed project areas for the Arrowhead Regional Transportation Coordinating Council are Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, Pine, and St. Louis Counties.

The purpose of the Arrowhead Regional Transportation Coordinating Council is to improve access, availability, and options for transportation services in northeastern Minnesota through increased communication, coordination, and collaboration.

You tell us your views on the transportation planning process in the Arrowhead Region

Representatives from AEOA and ARDC want to hear your thoughts on the proposed implementation plan during four public meetings.  Stakeholders interested in improving transportation in northeast Minnesota are encouraged to attend, including representatives from county departments of social services, transportation providers, human service agencies, veteran and senior service organizations, workforce development, private organizations, transportation users, and the general public.
