Strong east-northeast winds created the perfect set-up for ocean-sized waves on Lake Superior Thursday, April 11, 2019.

Winds gusting to 60 mph really piled up the waves along Minnesota’s Lake Superior shoreline. The video above was shot by Angela Botner of Angela Botner Photography. The waves were at Tettegouche State Park. Botner estimates the cliffs at around 40 feet high.
