Coach Tom Nelson, mentors Mike Duvall, Greg Pearson, Greg Pierce, and their team of 14 students departed from Cook County Schools Wednesday afternoon, heading to Duluth for the Northern Lights Regional competition, which will be held at the DECC.

Tom stated “We are extremely proud of this young group of kids.  They put a lot of time and effort into building this robot.  It will be exciting to see how this goes.”   Some of team members remarked that they are really excited and feel that they are well prepared. 

Below is the schedule of events for the next few days:

Day one (Thursday)

• Robot is inspected
• Paperwork checked to ensure everything is in order
• Bill of materials presented

Day two (Friday)

• All day qualifying

Day three (Saturday)

• Qualifying until noon
• Eliminations start at 1:30
