Your friends at Boreal Community Media wish to extend a huge welcome to Mark and Tari Shackleton. They are the new owners of the Grand Marais Subway and are working on their transition to Cook County.
They currently own and operate three Subway restaurants in the Twin Cities, along with a fitness gym. They had been visitors to Cook County for several years. As they began exploring the option of making a living once they moved here, the Subway opportunity came up for them. They are the proud parents of a daughter, who will be running Subway with them, and a son who is currently in the FEMA Corps. He will be applying for medical school when his term of service is complete.
They are hoping to open for business in April. Watch for their future announcements on Subway job openings, expanded business hours, and catering options.
