Business Owners Receiving Scam LLC Renewals in Mail

It has been brought to the attention of Cook County and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office that people with LLC businesses are getting fake renewal letters in the mail.
The notice, which looks like a 2018 Annual Renewal Form, states that you must to pay $95 through the mail Workplace Compliance Services in St. Paul.
Cook County has contacted the State, and they confirmed that this is a scam and that LLC renewals are free.
Do not respond or send money if you own an LLC and receive this notice.
