Boreal Community Media welcomed community members at its Open House on Saturday, November 10 at their new offices in the Cascade Building.

Attendees met Boreal staff members and Board Members and learned about the many digital media services the non-profit provides to the community.  They were treated to tasty cookies from Chelsea at the new Gunlint Baking Company and coffee from Java Moose.

Community members were given the opportunity to see a demonstration of affordable internet television services and Boreal's tech intern Cody Leck provided tech support to those needing assistance.

The event also welcomed Boreal's new full-time employee Carol Wagner.  Carol joins Boreal after a extensive career as a marketing consultant in the Twin Cities and most recently in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Carol re-unites in the area with her son who works at Poplar Haus on the Gunflint Trail. Carol will be heading up Boreal's sponsor development efforts as well as other administrative duties.

Community members are reminded they can stop by the Boreal Offices at the Cascade Building to learn about the benefits of a Boreal membership, pick up information on how to post Classified ads and Calendar events, get a schedule of upcoming tech events and other information and literature.  The offices are located in the Cascade Building. 21 West 2nd Street, Grand Marais, MN  55604.  For more information on Boreal services, you can call (218) 387-9471.
