From Clutter to Calm – Organizing Help for Families. Classes upcoming at the Clinic
Oct 15, 2018 03:47PM ● By EditorParenting can be stressful. Parenting when you’re surrounded by chaos, clutter, and confusion is definitely stressful! Just like our children’s “stuff” changes as they grow, so do the ways that we can keep it under control. The “From Clutter to Calm” classes are the latest installments of the Hot Potatoes! series of parenting workshops that are co-sponsored by Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Health and Human Services.
These classes will help clear away the confusion and overwhelm for parents of tots and teens as they learn age-appropriate ways to go from clutter to calm. We’ll cover such topics as: what to do with the piles of gifts that holidays and birthdays bring; how to process and organize school papers and projects; keeping the family calendars on the same page, and getting ready for senior year and the parties that come with it, while planning for post high-school life.
Wednesday, October 24 is the Tater Tot class for parents of preschool and elementary-age kids, and Thursday, October 25 is the Hot Potatoes class for families with tweens and teens. Both classes run from 5:30 until 7:00 pm, and there is no cost for either class. Our presenter, Tammy Schotzko, will be joining us remotely. Participants are welcome to come to the classroom at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and be part of the “watch party” or to tune in and watch on Facebook Live on the clinic’s Facebook page.
For more information about the Hot Potatoes classes, or to RSVP that you’ll be at the watch party, contact Hartley Newell-Acero at [email protected] or call 218-387-2330.
