On Friday, September 14, the Minnesota Zoo's Zoomobile will offer a free “World of Wildlife” program at 4 pm at the Grand Marais Library.  On Saturday, September 15 the Zoomobile will visit residents and patients at the North Shore Care Center at 10 am.

Zoomobile is the outreach wing of the Minnesota Zoo’s education department and uses live animals, biological artifacts, theater techniques, storytelling, and audience participation to create a dynamic, personal, and fun program for all ages.

The goal of all Zoomobile programs is to create and establish a sense of stewardship and respect for the diversity and complexity of all life on earth.
The World of Wildlife program introduces participants to some of the amazing animals on our Earth. Participants will meet a variety of animals from around the world and investigate habitats, adaptations and common threats to wildlife, while learning how they can help protect these incredible creatures and the places they call home.

Zoomobile has many visits at schools, libraries, daycare centers, neighborhoods and community organizations across the state year-round, bringing the Minnesota Zoo to all Minnesotans.  Zoo Director John Frawley will be on hand at both events to discuss the Minnesota Zoo’s new strategic plan and exciting upcoming events at the Minnesota Zoo.

About World of Wildlife (from the Minnesota Zoo website)

Our Earth is home to some amazing animals! While meeting a variety of animals from around the world, you will investigate habitats, adaptations, and common threats to wildlife, along with how you can help protect these incredible creatures and the places they call home. At libraries, senior citizen get-togethers, scout banquets, city celebrations – whatever the occasion – everyone will enjoy this interactive program and come away with a new appreciation and understanding of the natural world.

The events are free and appropriate for the whole family.  Mark you calendars and don't miss the Zoomobile's visit to Cook County to understand "The World of Animals".
