North Shore Health Call For Artists

North Shore Health (NSH), Grand Marais, MN, is requesting Submission Proposals & Qualifications for the display of works of art. The art will be original paintings, photography, fiber art, mosaic, mixed media; essentially art work that can be displayed on walls. The art will be displayed in the lobby, registration area, hallways and other public areas of NSH. The category of art will be displayed in the in the Hospital and Care Center. There is over 300 lineal feet of various sizes available for display. Questions about the display area can be directed to Kimber Wraalstad via phone at 218-387-3260 or via email [email protected].

The works of art should celebrate and reflect one or more aspects of the cultural, historical, geographical or community attributes of Cook County. The selected art will be placed in areas of high profile to be viewed and enjoyed by visitors, patients, residents and employees of NSH.

The intention of this public art is to honor and reflect upon contemporary and historical Cook County and where possible the important role that health care delivery has played in Cook County. It should encourage a feeling of reflection, peace and nature consistent with an ambience of quiet reflection in a health care delivery environment.
