August 10, 2018 –The playground at the Cook County Community Center will be closed from Aug 13 –24.  The new playground equipment is arriving and being stored outside by the current playground. Demolition of the old playground will take place first, followed by installation of the new 5-12-year old play space during this time.

“We ask, both parents and youth, to please be respectful and stay away from the equipment and this area,” said Diane Booth, Director – Cook County Community Center/Extension Service. “Please steer clear of the area so that we will be able to install the new playground equipment during these weeks. If pieces go missing, we won’t be able to install the new playground! We look forward to sharing the new play space with everyone very soon.”
