Cook County Schools is seeking an ASL Special Education Paraprofessional starting the 2018-2019 school year. Pay and Benefits per the paraprofessionals master  contract.

Cook County is located in the northeast corner of Minnesota in the Superior National Forest, along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior.  Our close-knit staff is full of exceptional people providing excellent educational services to a diverse student body. We are currently looking for a motivated educator who believes all children can achieve targeted growth goals regardless of race or economic status.  This is a full-time position beginning the start of the 2018-2019 school year. Extra-curricular opportunities available as well.

Description and Requirements: Paraprofessionals at Cook County Schools have exciting opportunities to work directly with and alongside students. In addition, paraprofessionals are valued as critical members of our team.

Duties include supporting the needs of specific students, keeping detailed daily logs, observation and data collection, preparing materials for your student(s), working directly with small project and skill groups, and collaborating with other staff who are working with your assigned student(s).

*This position requires a working knowledge of American Sign Language.
