June 27, 2018 – The body of a 46-year-old male from the Twin Cities metro area, was located on the beach of Lake Superior near mile marker 123 off Highway 61, early this morning. The deceased’s body was discovered by a woman walking on the beach and reported to the Sheriff’s Office. The man’s vehicle was parked near where he was located.

Identification is being withheld pending notification of family. An autopsy will be completed and the matter is under investigation.

Foul play is not suspected.
