Many canoe outfitters and staff at the U.S. Forest Service working on the Superior National Forest can repeat every word of the “Leave No Trace” video that people must watch before heading into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.  The reason for that is because every visitor to the BWCA must watch the video before being issued a permit by a licensed outfitter or directly from the federal government.

There are some major changes coming to that video, as WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs reports in this story.

The new video is being filmed in Grand Marais and up the Gunflint Trail this week. The Forest Service contracted the services of Minnesota resident Mark Norquist and his business GreenHead Strategies and Productions.
