It took awhile for spring to arrive, but we are off to a terrific start.  Forty kids signed up for Spring Tennis lessons. Remarkable!  Great to see youth tennis alive and thriving in Cook County.

Saturday May 12th at 9:00 AM is the time for hanging the wind screens.  This is a job that many hands make light(er) work.  Come out and help for a couple of hours.  Let Mike Carlson know to expect you at [email protected].

Saturday May 19 is the day to dust of your tennis racquet and get ready for spring tennis.  Join Charley Darley, Director of CCTA Tennis Instruction, for the free clinic, Greening & Reawakening of Your Tennis.  Clinic time is 1:00-3:00 PM. Register atwww.playtenniscookcounty.org

May 19-22 John Muus will be conducting a series of family-friendly free clinics to teach the fundamentals of POP Tennis.  POP Tennis is played on a shorter tennis court, with shorter racquets, lower compression balls, and follows the rules of tennis, except no overhead serving.  It is a fun, social activity that everyone can play and enjoy immediately.  Register for the clinic at www.playtenniscookcounty.org

Summer Session 1 Youth Tennis classes are available for registration atwww.playtenniscookcounty.org.  Summer Session 1 runs for seven weeks from June 4-July 21 and offers classes for all ages and abilities.  Join as a family or junior member to receive lower instruction fees.
