First Responders conduct Water Exercises in Grand Marais Harbor

The Cook County Emergency Services Conference is taking place this weekend in Grand Marais.
As part of the conference, many of Cook County’s emergency responders, including the Fire Departments, Search & Rescue and Law Enforcement, will be participating in field exercises in the City of Grand Marias.
On Saturday, first responders will down in Grand Marais harbor near the East Bay at the Grand Marais Rec Park. These responders completed Cold Water Rescue Training through a variety of techniques in the water with immersion suits. Rotations of this exercise took place throughout the day on Saturday.
