This year Grand Marais will be celebrating its 2nd annual Hygge Festival, February 9-15, 2018. Visitors will enjoy all the splendors of a classic northwoods winter vacation, dogsledding, snowmobiling, stargazing, fireside gatherings, cross-country skiing, in addition to the bonus of unique events to encourage the celebration and enjoyment of the wonderful things that make North Shore winters unique. 6 pm Many Tiny Lights fundraiser for Sawtooth Elementary to buy ice skates for the kids @ Drury Lane Books. Candles will be available for purchase at the event for $5.

Saturday, February 10th

9 am – 12 pm Traditional Craft Demonstration @ North House Folk School in the yurt in the center of campus. Visit resident artisan Mike Loeffler as he demonstrates traditional methods of spoon carving. Pull up a seat in the cozy North House Folk School yurt (located in the center of the North House Campus) and warm up by the wood stove as Mike demonstrates the steps of carving a wooden spoon.

12:30 pm Knitting lesson by fireplace @ Voyageur Brewing Co.
