The combination of early winter cold, followed by milder temperatures and strong winds has put Lake Superior's ice on the move.
The video above shows the thin ice on Lake Superior streaming past a web camera. The web camera video is courtesy Lentic Environmental Services and Scott Holman.
John Lenters of Lentic Environmental says the ice was going up and down on three foot to six foot swells. Due to 40 to 45 mph winds breaking up the ice, the ice was moving quickly and heading toward Harvey and Au Train.
