- Grand Marais Dairy Queen
We want to apologize for the tardiness of our thanks. We were able to use the funds generated by our generous sponsors to make a working robot and to teach new students skills to continue this great program and to possibly use in future careers.
This year we have two new coaches Rob Hackett, and Tom Nelson! With the new management we are on track for a fantastic season. We have also received generous donations from the Education Association and Grand Marais State Bank for this upcoming season. This club is a part of a growing program that provides STEM skills in our progressing technological society. Some of the skills we use and teach are pneumatics, wiring, engineering, welding, and coding. Being a part of this club also teaches social skills like problem solving, working as a team, building relationships, and learning how to work with people who have different ideas.
Every year we take part in the FRC Regional Robotics competition in Duluth, where we compete against approximately 60 other teams in a season specific game. We don’t know the rules of the game until six weeks before the robot deadline so that all teams have the same amount of time to complete their build. We have professionals in different fields from our community come in to help us do the best we can.
that the Cook County Robotics team is an incredible resource for students to
develop these skills that will greatly benefit them and their community.
Including our local community. Thank you for making this club a possibility.
Thank you for your continued support. See you on the field!
