The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the entire North Shore for today and tomorrow. The weather service predicts that early morning rain will turn to snow ranging from 3 to 5 inches, which will mean snow and ice-covered roads. High winds are also expected, so there could be white out conditions. There could be gusts of up to 40 mph.

At this time many county roads are ice-covered and several school busses are delayed.

Use extreme caution while driving.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds drivers to clear snow and ice from windows and lights. Brake early and leave twice the amount of room for stopping. Don’t use cruise control. Most of all, take it slow!
