On Sept. 26, Alison McIntyre was named the new public health and human services director for Cook County.

McIntyre has been employed by Cook County since 2012, and has been promoted several times in those years. Most recently she was serving as the financial assistance supervisor for the county, responsible for the work of a team of six people and serving as one of the five supervisors on the health and human services leadership team.
