The 1st annual Biggest Blueberry Contest is being held on the Gunflint Trail from Friday July 21- Saturday August 12. The three rounds of Blueberry contests will be:

• Friday July 21 – Saturday July 29 with prize drawings on July 29

• Friday July 28 – Saturday August 5 with prize drawings on August 5

• Friday August 4 – Saturday August 12 with prize drawings on August 12

Look for an official Gunflint Trail weigh station to submit your blueberry! Weigh stations are Bearskin Lodge. Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center, Golden Eagle Lodge, Gunflint Lodge, Hungry Jack Outfitters, Nor’Wester Lodge, Rockwood Lodge, Tuscarora Lodge, or Way of the Wilderness.

Official Rules: Blueberries will be measured by weight. They must be picked fresh locally (we won’t ask for your secret patch) and cannot be store bought (we know real blueberries when we see them). Multiple entries encouraged. All ages welcome to participate. No fee to enter. Do not need to be present to win. Once weighed, your berry will be returned.
