Media Release From Cook County

July 21, 2017 – The County Road 7 construction project is on schedule for the estimated
completion date of Aug 31. Following is an update and schedule of work planned as part of
these important infrastructure improvements.

• Work on culverts is taking place this week and next.
• Pavement removal and grading is scheduled for the first week of August.
• Second week of August is tentatively reserved for paving. Paving shouldn’t take more
than four days, weather permitting. Shouldering and gravel for driveways will be
completed immediately after paving is complete.
• Seeding, signs, mailbox posts, and pavement markings will follow, but timelines are to
be determined.

Scheduled completion is still on track for the end of August. Any seeding or other turf
establishment can be done without penalty after the completion date. The construction
schedule is subject to change, as various factors such as weather, can have an impact on project
timelines.

Those travelling in the area are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage. Cook
County thanks motorists and residents for their patience as we work to complete these
infrastructure improvements.
