Welcome to Boreal Corps News! These are community reports written by Cook County students in grades 4-8. In the fall, students in grades 9-12 take over this kids-eye-view perspective on community reporting for Boreal Corps.
As you see, www.boreal.org has launched on a new platform that is more secure and modern than the current website platform. That's right, the owl and the birch have retired--and in this new space, there is room for Boreal Corps.
Below, read Boreal Corps' March 15th live coverage from the St. Paul State Capitol when our 6th grade editor, Sammie Garrity, attended "Broadband Day on the Hill". It is a connection made possible by the Blandin Foundation, the rocking Grand Rapids, Minn., foundation that is funding Boreal Corps in an effort to enrich Cook County rural life through kids' digital storytelling mastery.
