Our season generally runs from November to April, and trips can be scheduled really at any time. Your first night is usually either in Playa del Carmen or Punta Allen, followed by a suggested 4 nights and 5 days of actual camping in the Reserve. This leaves (following a typical 8-day charter flight schedule) 2 more nights for you to explore the region in your own style.
Our basic price is $1250 per person for the 6 day period and includes round trip ground transport from either Playa del Carmen or the Cancun airport (a 4 and 1/2 hour drive from Punta Allen). We can certainly make suggestions for the remainder of your stay, but considering the broad range of options and the inherent vagaries of many Mexican facilities, it is best if you finalize those arrangements on your own. While we have found this itinerary works well for most people, variations are certainly possible. Due to the complexity of our camp set-up, we do request a 3-night, 4 day minimum for the camping portion of your trip. Most groups range from 4 to 8 participants, but we will organize a trip for just 2 people and can handle as many as 10, in a pinch. Custom groups of 6 or more do qualify for a "group leader" discount. Pricing depends greatly on transport and lodging options as well as your total number of days with us, so please feel free to tell us what your ideal trip would be and we'll figure it out from there!
PLEASE NOTE: Biosphere regulations require that you be accompanied by a trained local while in the more isolated or water-based areas of the Reserve, so we cannot provide for self-outfitted trips, even if you are experienced kayakers or campers.
Specialty and Organized Trips: Each year some other adventure travel companies book trips with us, and we sometimes offer a few trips at fixed dates that individuals can join. This year CEIBA Adventures is running some 10-day multi-sports tours which include 4 days of kayak/camping with us, and Freewheeling Adventures, a Nova Scotia bike company, will be offering some interesting tours of the area with some day - kayaking options. For details on these, just click on their names above. While we have not programmed any specific dates this season for trips you could join, we often can link a few people together and make one up on demand. So please don't hesitate to call or email us with your available dates and what you'd like to do. The more advance time you give us, the better! Also, remember we do discount custom trips for 6 or more people. Even if it's too late for this year, why not start organizing a group of your own for next year?? You're always welcome just to come on down and check us out, maybe go paddling for the afternoon......

For lodging in the Cancun/Tulum Corridor, and especially in Playa del Carmen, two good general sites are: mayanriviera.com and playadelcarmen.com. For some great Arts and/or Women's Programs in the Yucatan including kayaking, contact our friend Gail Green and her company, Adventures in Perspective. For Training and Lessons in Kayaking, we particularly recommend George Gronseth and Gail Green.
