Sawtooth
Mountain Clinic provides primary health care services to all residents
and visitors in Cook County on an outpatient basis. The clinic is a private,
not-for-profit, federally assisted community health center. The clinic
provides care to all, regardless of individual ability to pay. Clinic doctors
are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in either the clinic or the
Cook County North Shore Hospital.

Mountain Clinic is not a function of government at any level. It is financed
by its medical fees and by gifts, grants and a small rental income from
some of its facilities. In addition to clinical practice, its doctors serve
