Cook County Higher Education (CCHE) offers the Wes Hedstrom Scholarship to distance education students in Cook County.
Named in honor of the late Wes Hedstrom, who was a Board of Director for CCHE and a life-long advocate
for education, the Wes Hedstrom Scholarship provides funding to distance education students who need that extra bit of
help that can make college possible.
The Wes Hedstrom Scholarship provides financial assistance to Cook County full-time year-around residents enrolled
in a distance degree program.
Scholarship Deadlines: May 15 for summer and fall courses; November 15 for spring (January) courses.
Awards are determined by the Cook County Higher Education scholarship committee and awarded until funds are exhausted.
Awards are made payable to the college or university. Scholarship applications can be obtained from Cook County Higher Education
at 387-3411 or by filling out the online application.
