Cook County Higher Education (CCHE) is pleased to announce the creation of a new scholarship available to distance education students in Cook County. Named in honor of the late Wes Hedstrom, who was a Board of Director for CCHE and a life-long advocate for education, the Wes Hedstrom Scholarship provides funding to distance education students who need that extra bit of help that can make college possible.
The Wes Hedstrom Scholarship provides financial assistance to Cook County full-time year-around residents who fulfill one of the following criteria:

Scholarship Deadlines: March 15 for summer courses; July 15 for fall courses; November 15 for spring (January) courses. Awards are distributed through Cook County Higher Education until funds are exhausted, and are made payable to the college or university. Scholarship applications can be obtained from Cook County Higher Education at 387-3411 or by filling out the online application .
Tax-deductible donations to the Wes Hedstrom Scholarship Fund are welcome! Please send your check or money order (payable to Cook County Higher Education) to Cook County Higher Education, PO Box 57, Grand Marais, MN 55604. Cook County Higher Education is funded by grants from the State Legislature and Cook County, foundation grants, and generous donations from patrons of education. Thank you for your support!
