
North Shore Trade and Tech Project (NSTT) is pleased to announce the creation of a new vocational education
scholarship available to residents in Lake County. Named in honor of the late Clair Nelson, a life-long advocate
of vocational education, the Clair Nelson Vocational Scholarship provides funding for students interested in pursuing a vocational
trade.
The Clair Nelson Vocational Scholarship provides financial assistance to Lake County resident who are enrolled
(or are in the process of enrolling) in a vocational degree or diploma. Four $250 scholarships will be awarded
annually.
Who May Apply: High School seniors (as of the application deadline) and adults in the community.
Scholarship Deadline: March 15

Cook County Higher Education is managing the Clair Nelson Vocational Scholarship under the auspices
of the North Shore Trade and Tech Project of Cook and Lake Counties.
Applications are accepted from January 1 through March 15 of each year.
