SUGGESTED LAST MINUTE CHECKLIST IN CASE OF EVACUATION

-- FOR BUSINESSES --

• Last minute evacuation process completed by staff
• Staff have personal things assembled, destination point known, reassemble plans understood
• Leave a note on your door with the DATE and TIME you evacuated, WHO evacuated, and WHERE you are going. LIST any who were UNACCOUNTED FOR at that time. Give an approximate place where they might be located. TAKE A COPY OF THIS INFORMATION WITH YOU.
• Take registration sheets for all current guests (include pertinent demographic and emergency information)
• Take information sheets or computer log of all guests expected to arrive during the next weeks.
• Take current business records:

• Computer CPU, back up disks
• Checkbooks, Credit Cards, Cash,
• Customer Bills not paid, cash register tapes, credit card receipts
• Account Payable Invoices both unpaid and paid terminals for credit cards and fishing licenses which have day's batch information
• Credit application files, insurance coverage plan, safety deposit keys
• Customer deposit information
• Historical business records: same as above unless stored off site
• Business inventory and video or photographs for insurance if not stored off site
• List of important telephone numbers: friends, neighbors, other businesses, insurance, bank, suppliers etc.
• List of all account numbers, bank, credit cards, insurance, suppliers etc.
• Valuables and sentimental items not removed previously.

• Leave information about locations of fire equipment on site, fuel dumps, electrical shut offs and breakers, and the locations of potential hazards such as gas dump etc. on your door.
• TAKE: Pre-packed emergency suitcase: natural fiber clothing, dust masks, toiletries, eyeglasses, & medications in original containers, first aid kit, AND:

• Food and water
• Sleeping bags and pillows
• Pets in carriers, pet food, and water
• Money, checkbooks, credit cards, personal ID
• List of important telephone numbers (friends, neighbors, relatives, insurance, bank)
• List of important account numbers (bank, credit card, insurance)
• Valuables - jewelry, photos, special items
• Personal financial records
• Property inventory if not stored elsewhere
• Communication/ Information equipment: transistor radio, cell phone, satellite phone

• Leave door unlocked for firefighters who may need to shelter.
