The Basswood Tree: Discussion and Weave-In with John Zasada

The basswood tree grows throughout Minnesota and the Midwest and is prized by craftspeople for many reasons. From paddles to baskets to honey and tea, the basswood has abundant useful (and delicious) properties. John Zasada will discuss this often over-looked species and explore uses especially as related to basket-making. Harvest season has just wrapped up, and John Zasada will have lots of bark available for anyone to experiment with on a project of their choice.
