Sunday Afternoon Nature Presentation on Dragonflies
Doug Hall Nature Presentation on Dragonflies
Doug Hall - Dragonflies
Join us on Sunday, July 29 with Doug Hall for his presentation on dragonflies. Doug will start in the Nature Center with a PowerPoint presentation about the local dragonflies. Weather dependent the next part of the presentation would be to take the group out on the Chik-Wauk grounds to try catching and releasing some dragonflies around the museum area.
Doug has a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Minnesota. He has spent most of his professional career with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, primarily supervising water quality related programs. Since his retirement, 10 years ago, he has been volunteering at Warner Nature Center, a branch of the Science Museum of Minnesota.
Doug's volunteer activity is working with elementary students teaching them about various aspects of the natural world. Doug is a member of the Minnesota Dragonfly Society which is a citizen science organization dedicated to increasing knowledge about dragonflies in Minnesota.
