Behind the Smoke Screen

Protecting Our Kids from Addiction

Commercial tobacco use is still the #1 preventable cause of disease and death. While the use of commercial tobacco has been declining, there’s a new kid in town that’s reversing that: Electronic Nicotine Delivery Devices (ENDs). Designed to look like anything from markers to zip-drives and taste like everything from candy to cake, ENDs are hooking Big Tobacco’s next generation of “replacement smokers.” Amanda Casady of the American Lung Association will be presenting. Join us at as we learn about: the current landscape of tobacco use in Cook County, what trends are emerging, and how we can protect our children from commercial tobacco addiction. Bring your lunch and bring a friend! When: March 16, 2018 Where: Cook County Community Center When: 12:00 - 1:00 pm Cost: Free! Sponsored by Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Health and Human Services.
