Writing an artist’s statement can deepen your understanding of your process and your ideas, while helping you to clarify and develop the language around your work. A written statement is an essential component for exhibitions, grants, and residencies. In this two-part workshop students will develop a statement that can be adapted to multiple uses. Lynn will also instruct students on how to communicate ideas, influences, themes, and review techniques that introduce and support a series or project.
