MOVE IT is about moving towards good health in lots of ways, including being physically active. It’s also about choosing healthier foods and feeling more peaceful and engaged in your life.
We’ve made some updates this year! The timeline has been expanded to run from February through May. This will give us more time to firm up healthy habits and more time to enjoy ourselves! We’ve also expanded the ways that you can participate:
Post on the MOVE IT Facebook page! Do you have a favorite physical activity that makes you happy to be moving? Share a snapshot! What about a delicious recipe that keeps you fueled? Pass it on! Have you discovered a peaceful pause that recharges you? Post it! The page will go live on February 1. From February through May 31, everyone that posts will be entered into a weekly drawing for MOVE IT swag.
Download the “Charity Miles” app and join the MOVEIT! 2018 group! We know that being active benefits each of us as individuals, but did you know it can benefit others as well? Download the app to your smartphone, and then every time you walk, run, bike, snowshoe, or ski, you can raise money for your favorite charity too! Charity Miles has already donated over 2.5 million dollars to organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Save the Children, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
