January 9, 16, 23, 30. 5:30-7pm Cost:$80.00 This 4-session class will provide students with a foundation of grammar and conversational phrases. Topics will include introductions, food and eating, clothing, weather, and activities. Dan Viren grew up in Grand Portage, MN and is currently teaching Ojibwemowin at Oshki Ogimaag Charter School. Dan also taught Ojibwemowin at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN from 1991-1994. "I use the natural approach to 2nd language acquisition. I create all my own curriculum since none exists using that approach. I create my lessons on Google slides. I use a lot of question and answer stuff in Ojibwe based on everyday topics. I incorporate grammar explanations as we encounter it."
