This multi-week course is part of the Fall Series Community Programs at North House Folk School.

Wednesdays: October 18, 25, and November 1 from 7 - 9pm

Instructor: Rose Holdorf

All Ages (14 and up must bring an adult)

Cost: $50; Pre-registration required

We sit every day. In this course students will each build a stool as we explore aspects of stool craft, or chair making. One the first day, learn how to shape and shave stool parts out of greenwood. On day 2, use mortise and tenon joinery to bring your stool to life. On the final day, we’ll explore different seat weaving patterns and use traditional shaker tape to weave a beautiful pattern for your seat. And of course, we’ll sit. As any good chairmaker says, a chair is never finished until you sit on it.
