The Happy Hikers will be hiking the Canadian side of the High Falls trail on Wed., Sept. 6. We’ll first hike the boardwalk trail to a small cove/marshy area and then take the trail to see the gushing High Falls from a new perspective. Both trails are wide and quite easy to hike. There are some steps coming back from the High Falls. After the steps we'll see the remains of an old cabin in the lower falls area. We also have the added bonus of seeing the historic 1921 Squantum cabin located on the shore of Lake Superior. either bring a sack lunch to eat on the rocky shore near the Squantum cabin OR plan on eating at Naniboujou Lodge. Meet at the YMCA in the tennis court side at 9:30 am. (School is open now, so please note the change of parking!) We’ll carpool to the Canadian Visitor’s Center and hike for about 2 hours. BRING YOUR PASSPORT and a sack lunch or eat at Naniboujou!!!! Dogs are welcome, on a leash. BE SURE TO BRING ALL IMMUNIZATION RECORDS AND RABIES VET DOCUMENTATION FOR YOUR PET!!!! Please wear a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, sturdy walking shoes and bring walking sticks and water. Bring your sack lunch or plan to eat at Naniboujou Lodge.
