MN Author William Durbin Presentation! Everyone is welcome! The program content is most suitable for 3rd graders through adult. During his presentation, Mr. Durbin will share how he researches and writes his novels and will show slides of archival photographs that help bring history to life. Durbin’s books include: Dead Man’s Rapids, The Winter War, El Lector, The Broken Blade, The Darkest Evening, Wintering, Blackwater Ben, and many others. Durbin has received numerous awards and recognition: Minnesota Book Award, Book Sense Summer Pick, New York Library Books for the Teen Age list, American Library Association Amelia Bloomer list, Cooperative Children’s Book Center Best-of-the-Year list, KLIATT Editor’s Choice Best of the Year Young Adult Fiction. This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
