Parenting Positively

For Families with Pre-School and Elementary-Age Kids

Part of the "Hot Potatoes" series - Parenting help when things get HOT! What can we do to develop positive habits that promote higher levels of happiness in our kids?  How can a child's individual strengths be used to help motivate them? Sonjya Lyubormirsky, researcher and author of The How of Happiness, found that only 50% of our happiness can be attributed to genetics/temperament. While 10% can be attributed to circumstance, 40% can be attributed to intentional activity we can control.  Join us as we share practical tools based in positive psychology that you can use while you’re driving to daycare, eating meals together, choosing adventures, and tucking in at night. Taught by Lori Rothstein, a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. Cost: FREE! Date: May 16 Time: 5:30 - 7:00 pm Place: Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Classroom RSVP: [email protected] or call 387-2330 Join us for supper! Baked potato bar provided. Kids are welcome, or childcare is available at the YMCA for $5/child. Call the Y at 387-3386 to reserve space for your child.
