After many hours of clearing work, the North Superior Ski and Run Club volunteers have brushed and cleared all trails at Pincushion.  All trails are now groomed for classic and skate.  Snow conditions are good, with some debris on the trails from brushing.  Skate skiing is very good, with classic conditions fair.

See you on the trails.

Some new snowfall has been groomed into the trails, with East and West Overlook, Upper and Lower Snowmen, Pincushion Mountain and Lynn's Loop open.  We groomed North Advanced for skate and classic last night.  We're hoping to open Canyon Curves this afternoon with a brushing team completeing the clearing work.  Skating is good, classic is less so, we need a bit more snow.

The crew was out today clearing brush; East and West Overlook, Lower and Upper Snowman and the stadium will get another groom tonight, and all of these trails are in good condition for both classic and skate.  All other trails are closed as we continue brushing operations.  If you would like to give us a hand please call Jim Shinners at 218-370-2264.

See you out on the trails.

We have been able to convert some of the rain/snow stuff into skiable track.  There are many down trees and some wet spots, but West Overlook, East Overlook and the stadium area are groomed for both classic and skate.  The crew was out clearing the birch, alder and popple today, and we'll continue to open trails over the next few days.  We won't be opening trails until they have been cleared...gee it's great to be back on the snow.

We're fully expecting to get some skiable snow over the next 4 to 5 days.  Although conditions won't be the best, we'll roll and pack anything we can and at least have a single track for classic skiing.  On the trails for the holidays would be a great gift.
