Yes, we’re still skiing…
All trails in the system except Ole Hyvaa and Hilfiker had new classic tracks set. They set amazingly well so classic skiing should be good just now. The same trails were combed for skating, and again, conditions are remarkably good. That being said, there are seeps on some trails and during the day today there will be some soft spots. Everything will freeze tonight making for icy and fast conditions. Late spring skiing, so please exercise caution.
See you on the trails,
Classic Tracks are still holding up, but icy and very fast. Skating lanes have been regroomed and we can still get a few more days of skiing in. Enjoy your ski.
All of the trails at Pincushion Mountain have been Pisten Bully groomed overnight. The skating deck is in very good condition, and new classic tracks have been set on all trails.
All of the trails in the system have been tracked and combed for skating. Considering the recent weather the conditions are good. This is more like late season skiing than mid winter, so be watchful for seeps and places where the classic tracks may be a bit shallow.
Enjoy your ski.
The stadium, East and West Overlook, Snowmen, Lynn's Loop and Canyon Curves are groomed for both classic and skate. Pincushion Mountain trail is also groomed for both. North Advanced and the short interior trails will be finish groomed early next week. Enjoy your ski!
The Pincushion Trail System is holding up very well thanks to the fog and temps that are just moderate enough. Skiing just now is quite good. We will not be doing any additional grooming while temperatures continue warm.
All trails in the system are groomed for skate and classic. Conditions are very good for new year skiing.
The entire system has been power tilled and all new classic tracks have been set. Both skating and classic skiing is very good right now.
All of the trails in the system have at least a classic track and skating lane. The rain created a hard crust that we are still working on, but trail conditions are generally good. West Overlook and Upper and Lower Snowmen are double tracked. The chalet is open for warming up or enjoying a meal on the trails.
This last bit of snow has improved trail conditions remarkably. With the forecast for more snow throughout the week, we're going to keep up with grooming and try to get one more week of skiing in.
Much of the system was groomed for classic and skate today with a few trails closed. Conditions for skating are good, classic tracks have been set with variable quality but definitely skiable. We're about it for snow in Minnesota, so let's enjoy the spring skiing while we can.
We have some really great skiing at Pincushion just now. Something over half of the system is open, with trails closed due to down trees. The trails that are open have great skating lanes and new classic tracks. Be ready to follow the grooming rather than the trails, and enjoy some great skiing this weekend.
Our snow is holding up very well. All of the trails were groomed today with new classic tracks and reconditioned skate lanes. Conditions are very good right now, maybe for just a few more days. Get some great spring skiing in at Pincushion.
All trails are newly groomed. Skating is excellent, classic trails are very good. Great time to be out on the trails.
All of the trails at Pincushion are newly groomed. Skate lanes are in good condition, classic tracks are OK, with ice clumps on some of the tracks. One more groom should clean those up. See you on the trail.
Our Pisten Bully is finally up and running, and all trails are groomed. With the new snowfall all of the trails, both skate and classic are in the best shape of the season. Not to mention how beautiful the system is with the fresh snow. C'mon out.
