We groomed the entire system this morning with our new Ginzu groomer.  Skiing is still great even with warm temps.  Grooming for rest of season will be spotty after this weekend unless we see continued cold with more snow.

I just got finished skiing the Hall/Massey Loops.  It is the best skiing we have had all year long!  The groomers hard work really paid off.  It required over 17 hours of grinding up the icy base and setting new tracks to get it done, but the outcome was wonderful.  I mixed both skate and classic styles and found both to be wonderful.  There were only a couple of squiggly spots in the trail where we had trouble turning the machine while grinding so deeply.  The weather patterns are such that our base continues to hold up marvelously while the nice weekend weather has made for excellent and enjoyable skiing all season!  From now until the end of the season, we will groom a maximum of one time per week.

We have a rock hard base and now with a little fresh snow, it will ski wonderfully.  We are not planning on regrooming unless we get over 3 inches at which point we would do our priority loops-namely Hall and Massey.

From 3-12 inches

Both skating and classic skiing will be excellent today.  Classic tracks are washed out in areas due to the extremely  hard packed base.  A little new snow would help.  We also had many downed trees and are dealing with the blown down debris by grinding it into the base layer.  The fresh snow should make for ideal skiing today
Base Depth:
Good hard base about 6-12 inches
