There was more snow overnight and the groomers were out again! Much of the system was groomed today and the remainder, Ox Cart, Bear Cub, Poplar Creek and that portion of the Logging Camp in the BWCA, will be groomed tomorrow.
The system is in very good shape, with most trails rated as excellent.

We’ve received 3 inches of snowfall between last night and this morning. The trees are all covered in snow and the wilderness once again looks like an excerpt from a beautiful winter calendar. Both groomers have been out working and should have the whole system done by the day’s end. Bearskin reports that Summer Home Road, Campground Loop, Lit Loop, Lower Beaver Dam, and the South East end of Logging Camp have been groomed. With Bear Cub almost completed, Poplar Creek and Oxcart are next to follow.
Golden Eagle has groomed the remainder of Logging Camp, Red Pine, Deer Mouse, Cross Fox, Moose Ridge, Wolf Point, Ridge Run, Moose Pasture, and Upper Beaver Dam as well as the Boundary Waters portion of Logging Camp.
With this new snow, much of the stubble on Beaver Dam, Ridge Run, and Bear Cub is disappearing and select trails have improved from conditions of good to great.
