New Snowfall: 4-6 in. on 3/17 Last Grooming Date: 3/21 Comment: Pioneer, Ridge Run, Deeryard—Great Skiing all around. Warm, sunny days and cold nights will make for icy tracks in early am. Cascade River—Heavy deer and foot traffic so use caution on downhill sections. Fair. Excellent early spring skiing on entire system. Several inches of snow fell on 3/17 which helped the Piston Bully lay some great tracks! Should be excellent skiing as long as cooler weather prevails. Be careful of freeze-thaw cycles. Get out and enjoy!

New Snowfall: 2-4 Inches in past week Last Grooming Date: 3/6/08 Comment: We have regroomed the entire Pioneer Loop, Ridge Run, Lookout Mountain and Deeryard Lake System with our Pisten Bully. The groomers hard work really paid off. It required over 17 hours of grinding up the icy base and setting new tracks to get it done, but the outcome was wonderful. The best track setting was closer to Cascade Lodge The weather patterns are such that our base continues to hold up marvelously while the nice weekend weather has made for excellent and enjoyable skiing all season! From now until the end of the season, we will groom a maximum of one time per week. Base Depth: 6-16 inches

New Snowfall: Light Snow falling now Last Grooming Date: 2/29/08 Comment: We are grooming the Deeryard Loops up to the firetower and back through to the Cascade Lodge via the Ridge Run and the Pioneer Loop. We will not be regrooming the lower priority trail connector to Solbakken unless we see more than 3 inches of snow. If that happens, it would be predawn on Saturday. Base Depth: 5-15 Inches

New Snowfall: Snowing now Last Grooming Date: 2/15/08 Comment: The entire system is double tracked groomed and skiing well. Many downed trees made for difficult grooming but all is clear now. Although much debris was on trails, we ground most of it into the base and with a bit of fresh snow, today should be ideal. Base Depth: 10-16 Inches |

We groomed the Pioneer and Deeryard loops yesterday morning with our new Ginzu Groomers. We will be resetting the tracks on Friday Morning for the entire system as we are doing the Solbakken system this morning. Enjoy the early spring season, it is coming to an end soon and future grooming will be spotty at best after this weekend unless we get more cold and snow.
