Special Local News Feature on WTIP!

Tune in to WTIP (90.7FM or 91.7FM Gunflint Trail) Monday evening for a special local news feature on the PM Community Calendar Show from 5:00-6:00PM. The story investigates the fate of the 1% sales tax money that currently goes towards paying off the hospital bond. There are several community organizations interested in continuing the tax, as the hospital bond is due to be paid off this year, to fund other initiatives. The program will be rebroadcast on Tuesday’s AM Community Calendar which airs from 9:00-10:00AM. WTIP will be hosting a follow up discussion and listener call in show on this topic on January 17th from 6:00-7:00PM.
