Wildflower hike - tonight!
The Cook County Invasives Team (CCIT) will be hosting a series of hikes this summer to look at native and non-native plants. Join us tonight at Temperance River State Park!
We will meet at the wayside parking along Highway 61 (go to the lower east side of the Hwy 61 bridge) and we will walk out to the shore from there. Wear good shoes! Hikes start at 5 PM, and may take up to an hour. Families are encouraged and welcome.
These hikes are free, and no registration is required. For questions, call CCIT coordinator Angelique Edgerton at 387-3772.
Future hikes will be held as follows: 7/7 George Washington Pines, 7/21 Sweetheart's Bluff, 8/4 Oberg Mountain, and 8/18 SHT at Kadunce River. More information on later hikes will be available closer to those dates.
