Grand Portage Psychologist: Licensed or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Responsible for the provision of mental health service to individuals, couples, and families. Clinicians with experience in addiction counseling and child therapy are an asset. Performs individual, marital/couple, family and group therapies for children, adolescents, and adults. Services are to be provided to patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic mental health problems. Must maintain and provide a respectful attitude to clients and as a team member of the Grand Portage Reservation Tribal Council, and any other job related duties as may be assigned by the Tribal Council.
PH.D. preferred. Minimum of Master’s Degree in psychology from an accredited college or university. Must be a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. Experience or knowledge of cultural traditions is an asset. Ability to advocate for American Indian children; knowledge and skills in child protection, and working in cooperation with local and county agencies, are a must. Must have knowledge of the Privacy Act and able to maintain confidentiality. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable with the Grand Portage Reservation auto insurance.
